Your ceremony can be as stunningly simple or as beautifully involved as you’d like — or a thoughtful combination of both. It’s your moment, and it should reflect who you are as individuals and as a couple.
I chose to include marriage and joining ceremonies in my celebrant practice after hearing from friends whose wedding experience didn’t unfold the way they’d planned. In their words, “the celebrant went rogue.” That stayed with me — and affirmed how important it is for couples to feel seen, heard, and respected in the lead-up to and on the day of their ceremony. You deserve to remember your wedding for all the right reasons. That said, creating a meaningful ceremony often involves a few practical compromises along the way. A celebrant’s role is to guide and support you, help you navigate those decisions, and ensure your ceremony feels authentic and grounded in your intentions.
I walk my clients through a variety of ceremony structures, including the legal elements required for marriages under Australian law. I have a particular interest in weaving in personal beliefs, elements of spirituality, or cultural references where meaningful, but I also love crafting elegant, uncomplicated ceremonies that focus entirely on the couple — standing together, surrounded by those they love.
Currently, I offer weddings, handfastings, commitment ceremonies, and vow renewals on a referral basis. This allows me to maintain balance while building my celebrant practice alongside a full-time role I enjoy, my work as a yoga teacher, and postgraduate study in Counselling.
If you're simply looking for help writing your ceremony or vows, I also offer that as a separate service — without performing the ceremony itself.
If you are looking for a celebrant please email me and we can have a chat about it what I can offer you!
If you are a looking for Justice of the Peace in the ACT you can also email me.
Please also be aware that there is a code of practice governing the standards and work of marriage celebrants in Australia.
